We were passing thru Lordsburg, NM for an overnight stop on our travels.

Shakespeare Ghost Town, is a National Historic Site.

The owners take great pride in the history of this town, as they are apart of the history itself. David, who gives the tours; about 1.5-2hrs, can give you every detail and more!

Although only 8 buildings are left, there is plenty to take in and appreciate how the town has changed throughout time. You will learn about the mining booms, how the name Shakespeare came about in 1879 and how The Hill family has preserved it and still is.
